The Steve Mcqueen

Currently I have been obsessing over the Steve Mcqueen Persol sunglasses in Havana.

I think we all agree it is a must have piece for the summer and a classic piece, still standing since the late 60's. Maybe McQueen is the new Wayfarer. ADD TO BAG now!

Madonna aid

Tonight is the Madonna Aid party @Bollox Club and i can't wait to dance all night in crazy Madonnathon in the basements of Legend with the help of the infamous Blige Sisters.

The only thing I found really weird is the fact that her recent MDNA album is not doing as good as I expected and yet her fun base is huge! Come on you guys get those wallets out and buy her album.

Girl you gone wild! directed by VOGUE's favourite duo Mert & Marcus (Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott).

We were all so in need of some music to wall thrust and go crazy on the dancefloor in leggings and sky high stilettos!

Perfect World

The music video has been released for the single " perfect world" from the match anticipated album "A joyful noise" since "heavy cross". The video was apparently filmed in the UK, starting in a colourless church hall and finishing off with stained glass disco lights! Beth Ditto recently described the album as "grown-up" and "sad" commenting that "I love sad songs, they say so much". I love it too and i cannot wait for the release date.

The new Dadaists

Dada was a richly subversive movement that started  and developed at the time of the WWI as a protest against bourgeois conventions and the folly of war. The aim of the dada movement was to destroy traditional values in art and to create new art to replace the old. Main contributors to the movement were Francis Picabia, Marcel Duchamp, Hans Arp, Man Ray and many others. With iconic art pieces like "girl born without a mother", "nude descending a staircase", the "fountain" and the "metronome".

Fountain by M Duchamp 1917

Girl born without a mother by F Picabia 1916

Metronome by M Ray

So I thought, are we the new Dada movement with critical thinking and the WWI is replaced by recession and art may has extended to fashion? I consider myself as a new Dadaist, maybe we all have a dadaist inside screaming to get out.
