A real Greek tragedy

Everyday you hear something about Greece but now days it is all for the wrong reasons! It used to be about the country it self as a holiday destination and hospitable people etc but now it's all about the recession the deficit the new spending cuts the strict Germans and their austerity bills!

Maybe the world market may be happy with the Greek government's decision to accept and approve the new spending cuts in order to get the 2nd bailout but the Greeks themselves aren't! It makes me sad that all my friends have to deal with unreasonable decisions effecting our generation mostly. Unemployment in Greece is running at over 20% and if you look at 15 to 24-year-olds half are now unemployed!

The pensions have been cut drastically and the permanent public sector workers have been sacked. With the new austerity measures it's going to be even worst. 150,000 public sector people are going to be made redundant!

Also the insignificant and ridiculous minimum wage is cut by 22%.

It only makes me sad to hear from my friends how disappointed they all are with what's going on and how the have to fight for everything. But the future does not look very promising for them either.

I may not understand the financial implications but I do care for the lives of my friends and family been drastically changed.

All we can do is hope for the best.
